Palanas by the Sea - Boljoon, Cebu PH

Another great summer destination has been recently relaunched with the newest facilities just in time for the hottest season of the year. If you have been wanting to take that relaxing getaway after that stressful week you've had at work, then this resort will surely reinvigorate your droopy senses. I am talking about the newest attraction in BoljoonPalanas by the Sea.

Palanas by the Sea has been a top-of-mind staycation after its panoramic photos have been shared by thousands of travel buffs over the internet. One of the owners revealed that the resort had been fully booked for the whole summer - an aftermath of social media trend. Book your vacation ahead of time! Check out their website for details.

This resort is literally situated by the sea, living up to its name. From Cebu City, it can be reached by bus or any private vehicles in just three hours. It is very accessible with its conspicuous signage just along the main road.

Palanas offers both beach and swimming pool facilities. The wide infinity pool is the drawing power that seemed to bring each captured photo a sense of sophistication and minimalist taste with its neatly designed wooden deck outlining the entire pool area. Although the pool is truly attention-grabbing, you just can't forgo the beach. Boljoon is probably one of those towns in Cebu that's blessed with pristine waters. While some parts of the seabed tend to get rocky, you still can't resist its teal or bluish chroma which transparently displays its innermost beauty.

Rooms that can accommodate couples to a huge barkada or family are available for overnight use or a grand staycation. Room rates start at Php 3,500 to Php 7,000. Walk-ins may stay in the gazebos and large open tents ideal for big groups  and events. For only Php 350, you can enjoy a luxurious day in their pools and bathe under the sun on their elegant lounges. Even without corkage for food bought outside, it's good to know that they also offer delectable dishes for the customers.

The reception area also has a small convenience store with some swimming necessities and other merchandise just in case you forget to bring something.

Palanas by the Sea already provides satisfactory or sometimes overwhelming picturesque view of what summer should be but this vast sight is only an extension of another resort previously developed by the same owners. It goes under the same name, Palanas (Farm and Resort), but it is built within the mountain area clad with the rich tapestry of nature, 10 km away from the town proper. As a sort of marketing promotion, some guests in Palanas by the Sea were given a chance to tour around the mountain resort. That was perhaps temporary yet it was a great add-on!

When we went there, it was indeed booked up even for day use. The management only allows a maximum of 40 people for walk-ins so as to avoid getting crowded which may affect customer satisfaction. I was impressed to know that the owners consider quality service first over financial benefit. Although it was quite disappointing that they're not accepting customers anymore for that day, we did not feel rejected. The staff who were really accommodating and courteous gave us choices so that we can still enjoy the place.

We opted to just have the sightseeing before we headed to another destination - Palanas Farm and Resort!

Kudos to the staff and management of Palanas who went an extra mile in upholding great customer service. More than anything else, it's the quality of service that can influence the preferences of the guests.

Shout out to Doc Cookie. You're fantastic! Thank you.
