San Fernando, Cebu is not so much of a resounding name when it comes to breathtaking shorelines or multifarious settings. It is situated between two progressive cities of Southern Cebu - City of Naga and Carcar City. Noted for its cement and steel manufacturing sites, the town has also been tagged with some issues on environmental concern and sanitation over the years. Nevertheless, this did not shackle the innovative minds and hands of the locals to preserve and uphold tourism in some parts of the town. In fact, some areas have been restored and developed for recreational purposes.
Last December 2014, a resort in North Poblacion, San Fernando, Cebu was relaunched with its new name, Paulo Luna Resort and Spa. The resort, now run by a corporation, got its name from the two previous owners, Paulo and Luna.
It is a 45-minute to an hour-drive from Cebu City / South Bus Terminal. You may take the bus ride or a Van for hire (from CitiLink Terminal). Fare at PhP 28-50. A few kilometers away from the town's entrance, on the right side of the road, you would see a signage of the resort. If in case you miss it, you may disembark at the heart of the town, that's the municipal Hall or San Isidro Church (near the marketplace). Feel free to ask some locals of the directions and they would be glad to tell you that or you may take a tricycle ride for a minimum fare (Php 7) to Paulo Luna (better known by the locales as Luna Beach) and whoalaa!
A facade of overwhelming impression |
Parking Space |
Going downstairs from the reception area, you will be greeted with the largest swimming pool. Yes, you read it right, 'largest', because the place has 4 pools which seems 5 at first due to the bridging pools.
ONE - beneath the receiving area |
TWO - middlemost part of the resort
|
FOUR - in front of the shoreline, one that's bridged with another pool |
As you stroll around, the landscape and building designs, which actually resemble that of a villa, never cease to amaze and surprise you. The pools are surrounded with deluxe rooms for overnight accommodations. There are covered places which walk-in guests could use.
Dainty lounge chairs and wooden patio table sets are all over the area as well.
Too pretty not to be captured

The place has this calming effect with its fresh sea breeze scent. The overwhelming area also allows comfort and generous space for guests so it does not get too crowded at all. Aside from its fine accommodation, the resort also offers other amenities such as the gym and the function halls for special events.
